14 Day NutriClean Programme

Metabolism is a term used to describe all chemical reactions involved in maintaining the living state of all cells and the organism itself.

A toxin is “Any substance or environmental influence that disturbs metabolism in a manner that results in chronic stress to the body”

Toxins can come from a variety of sources: diet, stress, infections, pollution, drugs and medications and radiation.  One of these may not be an overburden to the body but together they increase toxic burden to the body.

Proper nutrition is needed for proper toxin clearance and the 14 Day NutriClean programme provides this.  ‘Nutrition’ is putting into the body what it needs and ‘detoxification is getting out of the body what it doesn’t need.

The 14 Day NutriClean programme supplies you with the nutrients you need to support your body through the detoxification process and its ability to cleanse.

On the programme you will learn:

30 Day Weight Loss Challenge

The 30 day weight loss challenge is an introduction to a lifestyle to help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight.  It is not a quick fix.  What you will embark on is not a diet but a lifestyle change.  Diets are usually used for a quick fix and are not attainable.  This programme is based on scientific research behind the dietary recommendations.  There are many diets available but ironically most are not based on a good quality diet and do not focus on their micronutrient content.  This is where the 30 Day Weight Loss Programme is different.
The programme is based on scientific research and scientific evidence and is designed so that we eat as nature intended.  It combines three different diets:

The Paliolithic Diet

This diet is based on good quality protein, nuts and seeds, plenty of vegetables and fruit, beneficial oils and water.
The quality of protein is essential, our hunter gatherer ancestors would be consuming wild game and animals fed on grass.  The meat would be lean due to the amount of exercise the animals have in the wild.  This has a massive impact on the fat content of the meat, moving towards higher levels of omega 3 which are anti inflammatory fats compared to omega 6 which are pro inflammatory fats.

The Mediterranean Diet

The most well studied diet.   The focus of the Mediterranean diet is on eating fresh fruit and vegetables, beneficial oils, nut and seeds and fresh fish and meat.

The GI/GL Diet

The GI diet estimates how much each gram of available carbohydrate in a food raises a person’s blood glucose level after eating the food, relative to the consumption of pure glucose.  High Glycemic foods elevate blood glucose and insulin levels, stimulate fat storage and create inflammation.  Low Glycemic still raise blood glucose but not as much and do not stimulate the fat storing mechanisms quite so much.
Glycemic load accounts for how much carbohydrate is in the food and how much each gram of carbohydrate in the food raises blood glucose levels.  Glycemic load is based on the Glycemic index and is defined as the grams of available carbohydrate in the food, times the food’s GI and divided by 100.  The usefulness of the Glycemic load is that it simultaneously integrates the quality (GI) and quantity of carbohydrates in a meal or dietary pattern.  So you are always looking to include low Glycemic load foods with a total of 10 or less rather than high Glycemic load foods of a total of 20 or more.
